Iran Trade Mission
This multi-sector mission will visit Tehran from Sunday 28 February to Thursday 3 March and will provide delegates with unique networking opportunities, a vast range of introductions, and high level executive meetings. There will be a Mission Reception on Monday 29th February; a key networking event. Given the developing commercial circumstances and international situation, this opportunity to establish connections and make business contacts should not be missed.
Meetings and introductions with prospective business partners will be arranged by the Middle East Association and full in-market support will be available from the MEA Mission Leader who has first hand experience doing business in Iran. There will be a printed bilingual Mission Brochure which will advertise your Company and product/service to potential contacts. You will benefit from a specially negotiated, competitive group travel package and will be advised and assisted in obtaining your Iranian business visa.
Iran’s economy could be set to open up to the world market after the historic deal on the 14th July in Vienna. There will be real opportunity in certain sectors, and particularly in water and waste management. Sanctions are currently still set to be lifted mid-January. As one of the last untapped emerging markets, the Iranian economy has vast potential. However, it is important to note that the nuclear deal changes relatively little in terms of ability to trade as sanctions will not be lifted immediately. The FCO website states that if Iran adheres to its commitments and sanctions are rolled back, then the UK government will help the business and financial sector take advantage of the opportunities that arise, and promote trade and investment between our two countries.
