The Saudi British Economic Offset Programme (SBEOP) which has now been in operation for more than twenty years, originated as a result of purchases of military equipment and associated support services by the Saudi Government from the UK in the mid 1980’s. The programme was established with the intention of attracting inward investment into Saudi Arabia (KSA), primarily through the creation of joint ventures (JV) across a wide range of industrial sectors.
